De factură hedonistă, pictura mea s-a manifestat până recent doar pe palierul liric-abstract. Influentată de mesajele cu caracter negativ cu care suntem bombardaţi zilnic prin mass media , în această perioadă de criză, formula mea plastică se repozitioneaza. Mesajul abstract capătă conotaţii reale, vulgare, laice. Este un mod de răspuns la această stare de tensiune perpetuă propagată în masă prin mediile de informare. Pictura este alterată şi intră în jocul realităţii căpătând un efect moralizator, un caracter militant si conotaţii sociale. Liricul devine epic, istorisirile fiind cotidiene, actuale. Abordez vectori de formare a moralitatii (mass- media, religia, politica, etc.) şi constat că uneori formarea devine deformare. A construi se metamorfozeaza în a distruge iar tot procesul acesta are un scop financiar.
Pe de altă parte aceste istorisiri cotidiene, uneori caricaturale, au doar un caracter de actualitate îngradind arta într-un joc meschin al realităţii imediate. În acest sens, nedorind ca lucrările mele să fie doar afişe militante renunţ uneori la figurativ, locul lui fiind luat doar de cuvânt, cuvântul scris fiind de fapt la nivel vizual reprezentarea abstractă a realului. Prin cuvinte încerc să traduc o stare, un sunet, o idee, reprezentată pe pânza, oferindu-i picturii un eventual alt sens. Doresc prin ceea ce fac să creez un mix pictural din abstract, figurativ si cuvinte.
Until recently, my painting has been of a hedonistic nature and manifested itself only in the lyrical-abstract realm. However, influenced by the negative messages we seem to be bombarded with daily, during this period of crisis, I am repositioning my graphic formula. The once abstract message now gains realistic, vulgar and secular connotations. This is a way to respond to the perpetual tension propagated by the media. The painting is altered, and enters the game of reality, where it attains a moralizing, militant and social character. The lyrical becomes epic, carried by present day stories. I survey the vectors that help form and inform morality (i.e., mass-media, religion, politics) and find that sometimes forming becomes deforming. Building is transformed in destruction, and this process is aided by numerous financial objectives.
On the other hand, these everyday stories are sometimes caricatured. Their contemporary character sometimes confines the art in a petty game of immediate reality. In that sense, since I don’t wish for my work to take the form of militant posters, I renounce the figurative at times, and employ the written word, which, at a visual level, represents an abstraction of reality. With words, I attempt to translate a state, a sound, an idea. Once on the canvas, it may lend the painting a different meaning. Therefore, through my work, I wish to create a pictorial blend using the abstract, the figurative, and the word.
